  • BUN and creatinine
  • Transaminases and alkaline phosphate
  • Rapid plasma reagin (RPR) or VDRL
  • Toxoplasma gondii IgG
  • Hepatitis B and C serologies
  • G6PD level
  • CD4 count
  • Quantitative HIV RNA level
  • Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) test
  • Consider CMV IgG, Hepatitis A IgG, baseline chest x-ray
