Description
Urologic neoplasms represent the model for multidisciplinary management. With the rapid increase in our understanding of tumor biology and its extension into the clinic, there is an ever expanding therapeutic armamentarium available to manage patients with testicular, bladder, prostate and renal cell carcinoma.
This one-day course is designed to provide a topical, clinically-based overview of many of the current therapy dilemmas faced by clinicians managing GU neoplasms, with an emphasis on the opportunities for multidisciplinary management.
Target Audience
Urologists, medical and radiation oncologists, and other health care providers with an interest in the management of patients with urologic malignancies should attend this course.
Learning Objectives
Following participation in this course the participant will be able to:
- Recognize the significant interaction required of urologists, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists in the optimal management of patients with urologic neoplasms.
- Discriminate better between the potential therapeutic options available for patients with prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular neoplasms.
- Integrate evolving knowledge of radiotherapy in the management of prostate cancer.
- Utilize evolving therapeutic options in patients with advanced bladder, prostate, and kidney neoplasms.
