Description
The Cleveland Clinic’s 13th Diastology and New Echo Technologies Summit: Featuring Heart Valve and Contrast Echo Mini-Symposium provides a unique opportunity for attendees to interact with key opinion leaders and receive updates in heart valve disease, diastology, new and emerging echo technologies, and contrast echocardiography.
The Summit is divided into four parts.
- Heart Valve Disease will focus on new advances in valvular heart disease including epidemiology, clinical
diagnostic approaches to mitral tricuspid and aortic regurgitation and aortic stenosis, as well as new
approaches to valve repair including robotics and percutaneous techniques.
- Diastology will present the state-of-the-art advances in diastolic heart failure including epidemiology, clinical
diagnostic approaches, specific diseases, and effects of therapy of diastolic heart failure as well as recent
and future clinical trials.
- New Echocardiography Technologies will highlight new and emerging applications in real time 3-D and 4-D
echo, live 3-D TEE, 2-D strain, torsion, stress echo, cardiac resynchronization, and interventional echo.
- Contrast Echocardiography will review the basic principles of contrast echo, rest and stress LVO and EBD, myocardial perfusion, and new research applications. It will include a discussion of the revised black boxed warning and safety.
The Summit will also feature several interactive workshops.
- The Heart Valve Disease and Diastology
workshops will illustrate “Read-with-the-Experts” sessions through case presentations as well as a basic 101
tutorial.
- The New Echocardiography Technologies workshop will include 3-D echo, strain, and CRT cases and
a basic 101 tutorial.
- The Contrast Echocardiography workshop will have a “Read-with-the-Experts” session on LVO, EBD, and myocardial perfusion.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for adult and pediatric cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, sonographers, nurses, cardiology fellows, and other healthcare professionals interested in heart valve disease, diastology, new echocardiographic technologies, and contrast echocardiography.
