Researchers and clinicians (rheumatologists, gastroenterologists, dermatologists, and pulmonologists) involved with autoimmune and inflammatory disorders and, in particular, those with an interest in the field of TNF inhibitor therapy. |
Activity Design |
Each lesson within the Managing the Problem Patient with Anti-TNF Inhibitors: Infectious, Malignant, Neurologic and Other Complex Issues Series includes a problem case, summary & recommendations, summary article, post-test and an evaluation. |
Objectives |
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Review the differential diagnosis of neurological manifestations in patients with immune mediated inflammatory disorders taking TNF antagonists.
- Summarize the animal and human studies that address the associated of demyelinating disorders with the use of anti-TNF agents.
- Discuss the evaluation and treatment of patients on TNF antagonists who develop CNS adverse events.
- view approaches to identifying and monitoring patients at increased risk for neurologic complications of TNF antagonists.
