Description
This webcast presents an overview of management of Hepatitis B in the pregnant woman, both for her well-being and to minimize the risk of infection in the new born. It includes a case, expert presentation, and panel discussion. This webcast was a part of the series filmed in front of a live audience on December 6, 2008, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Review data on risks for HBV transmission in pregnancy.
  2. Discuss treatment results for pregnancy.

Target Audience
This webcast is directed to hepatologists, gastroenterologists, infectious disease physicians, primary care physicians, infectious disease and gastroenterology nurse practitioners, infection control nurses, physician assistants, and others involved with the health care of HBV-infected patients or those at increased risk for acquiring the infection.

Accreditation
The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
