Description
The purpose of this activity is to review the prevention and management of infectious diseases and their complications in rheumatic patients receiving immunosuppressant therapy.
Learning Objectives
On completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:
- Implement appropriate measures of monitoring for potential adverse events in recognition of the potential consequences of immunosuppression.
- Outline clinical situations when therapy discontinuation or interruption may be required due to adverse events.
- Interpret the latest safety data on available and emerging DMARDs.
Target Audience
This activity is intended for rheumatologists and other healthcare professionals who manage and treat patients with RA.
