Description

The webcast series is repurposed from the Lead Extraction 2008: Critical Review and Implementation of HRS Guidelines symposium. This webcast will:

  • Critically review the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) Policy Statement
  • Highlight major strategies for achieving quality outcomes
  • Prioritize content for an updated HRS Policy Statement

Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Describe the basic training requirements for a physician to perform lead extraction.
  2. Review the minimum setup required in a facility to perform lead extraction.
  3. Define fibrosis implications associated with lead extraction.

Target Audience

Directed to cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, scientists, electrophysiologists and associated professionals who want to minimize the risk of implantable device therapy.

The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
