Description
The Cleveland Clinic Heart and Vascular Institute presents the Heart Rhythm Lead Management 2009 Guidelines Summary webcast. It was captured during the live symposium titled Lead Management 2009: Heart Rhythm Society Guidelines and Case-Based Implementation. The overall goal of the symposium was to bring together leaders in research and clinical practice to present solutions to improving the care of this patient population in a format that allowed interaction between the faculty and attendees.
Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant will be able to do the following:
- Demonstrate readiness to perform transvenous lead extraction.
- Differentiate clinical success from complete success.
- Define and report complications according to time frame and severity.
Target Audience
This webcast is directed toward cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, scientists, electrophysiologists, and associated health care professionals who want to minimize the risks associated with implantable device therapy.
