Description
Probiotics: Why, When, How webcast was captured in front of a live audience at the 7th Annual Dr. Roizen’s Complementary and Alternative Medicine Conference. This webcast will discuss the different probiotics you can choose in the real world, why not all probiotics are created equal, and provide a look into the future in terms of potential new uses for probiotics and what they can do to enhance quality of life and to maintain good health.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to do the following:
- Discuss the initial and continuing rationale for probiotics – to change the products produced by gut bacteria and absorbed by the body;
- Demonstrate that probiotics are not all created equal, and describe the differences between spore and live cultures;
- Evaluate the breadth, depth, and limitations of scientific data on probiotic use.
Target Audience
This webcast is designed for complementary and alternative medical therapy professionals, family and general practitioners, internists, obstetricians and gynecologists, anesthesiologists, acupuncturists, pain managers and therapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, nurses, nurse practitioners, dietitians, physical therapists, physician assistants, and other interested professionals.
