Description
The purpose of this activity is to discuss management strategies for patients with refractory RA.
Objectives
- Review potential causes of TNF inhibitor nonresponse or discontinuation.
- Discuss available data on switching to another TNF inhibitor or biologic with a different mechanism of action after inadequate response to an initial TNF inhibitor.
- Interpret the safety and efficacy data of sequential therapy with one or more biologic DMARDs.
Target Audience
This activity is intended for rheumatologists, primary care physicians, and other clinicians who treat patients with rheumatic diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), ankylosing spondylitis (AS), gout, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and antineutrophil cytoplasm antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV).
