Professional Activities and Distinctions:
Dr. Park has been a SAGES member since 1995 and has served on its Board of Governors since 2002. Previously, he served as President of the MIS Fellowship Council. He is Medical Director of the AeroDigestive Center, Head (PI) of both the Simulation Center and the Operating Room of the Future Project, and Chair of the Minimally Invasive Therapy Center Committee at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Dr. Park is Vice Chair of the University of Maryland Surgical Association and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Surgical Innovation and on the editorial boards of numerous surgical journals.

Areas of Research and Publication:
Widely published in the areas of solid organ laparoscopy, laparoscopic herniorrhaphy, surgical education, and surgical ergonomics, Dr. Park has been instrumental in the development and application of new technologies in endoscopic surgery.
