Overview
The understanding of vascular diseases above the aorta is undergoing rapid evolution. This international conference is designed to provide a venue for physicians of different disciplines and cultures to be able to share their experiences and treatment approaches with one another.
Objectives
- Diagnose and differentiate diseases affecting the vascular system of the chest, neck, head and brain.
- Discuss treatment options and relative advantages and disadvantages of different
treatment modalities for:
- Intracranial stenoses
- Carotid stenoses and occlusion
- Lesions predisposed to causing hemorrhagic stroke such as aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and dural shunts.
- Compare and contrast diagnostic imaging techniques related to the diagnoses of the aforementioned disease processes.
- Recognize differences in patient populations and available treatment strategies in the East and West.
