Description

The 7th Annual Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery Course and 31st Annual Turnbull Symposium combine for a 4-day educational activity. Individually, each activity is 2 days.

These courses have several novel features, including live surgical procedures, a hands-on human cadaveric and live porcine workshop with expert instruction on laparoscopic colorectal surgery techniques, and didactic sessions which primarily focus on surgical management techniques, including discussion of diagnosis and perioperative care.

Key topics include anorectal diseases, benign disorders of the rectum, and surgical procedures for ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, and rectal cancer.

By providing relevant discussions of the most current evidence and hands-on instruction, these educational offerings strive to help practitioners acquire knowledge of new data and surgical techniques. This knowledge can then be translated directly to their clinical practice.
