Description

Cleveland Clinic Heart & Vascular Institute presents the Cardiovascular Physicians’ Roundtable.  This interactive CME program will serve to engage our physician colleagues throughout the enterprise and region to share best practices and established protocols and metrics in the treatment of cardiovascular disease.

The faculty will review current therapies, ideas and innovations for both the prevention and treatment of heart and vascular disease.

This meeting will convene in the InterContinental Hotel and Conference Center on Cleveland Clinic's main campus.

Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant will be able to do the following:

  • Explore critical decision making  in the role of  ICDs and biventricular pacing
  • Define the medical and surgical options available to treat coronary artery disease
  • Utilize quality metrics to improve outcomes in cardiovascular disease
  • Review patient selection criteria for the use of implantable LVADS for HF treatment
  • Reporting on the role  of  biomarkers in  prevention of CV disease
  • Discuss therapeutic options for the management of hyperlipidemia 
  • Employ and integrate diagnostic imaging, detection and management in heart disease
  • Summarize outcomes of percutaneous Interventions for  coronary, aortic, and valvular diseases
  • Review management of DVT and acute PE
  • Describe the natural history of ascending aortic aneurysms and management strategies
