Biologic Therapies VIII Summit will be the first major conference focusing primarily on interdisciplinary rheumatology by exploring the interface of rheumatology with disciplines such as infectious disease, gastroenterology, neurology, oncology, dermatology, pulmonology, ophthalmology, and wellness. Each session will begin with the clinical challenges of diagnosis, followed by interactive case study discussions. These discussions will be facilitated by a panel of experts and will highlight challenges found with both available and experimental immune based therapies.

Join the Cleveland Clinic R.J. Fasenmyer Center for Clinical Immunology and the Cleveland Society of Rheumatology for these outstanding presentations on the clinical use of biologics to treat complex multiorgan autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases.

  • Summarize the best practices for the diagnosis and interprofessional management of complex multiorgan rheumatic diseases
  • Describe recent advances in targeted therapies for rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthropathy, vasculitis, and scleroderma, in terms of treatment efficacy and toxicity
  • Enhance the effectiveness and minimize the toxicity of targeted therapies with focus on complex cases requiring interdisciplinary care
  • Cite the most important evidence supporting biologic use for immune-mediated inflammatory diseases and apply that evidence to clinical practice
  • Describe the advances in the science of wellness practices and the data on its value in clinical practice
