Center for Excellence in Coaching and Mentoring: Coach Approach to the Annual Professional Review
Transform your leadership and career development conversations
As leaders in healthcare, we want to empower others. However, leaders often mistakenly think they have to solve problems by telling others what to do. This ironically reinforces an autocratic approach that leaves others feeling unheard and unappreciated. Discover a new framework and underlying coaching fundamentals that transform conversations and unlock creativity in yourself and others.
Join us for an interactive eight-hour training to learn how to apply coaching skills as a leader to develop others more effectively while driving your own engagement and resilience. These skills are applicable beyond annual reviews; they transform everyday interactions with colleagues, patients, and in your personal lives. Participants work in small groups, facilitated by trained mentor coaches providing observation and feedback, to practice the skills using real-life experiences.
By Participating, You Will Be Able To:
- Differentiate how a coach approach vs. a traditional approach can transform your Annual Professional Review conversations
- Explore the coaching fundamentals of Cleveland Clinic’s CECM Coach Approach: Deep listening, Empathy, Asset Based questions and Language
- Apply and practice the CECM framework and coach approach fundamentals in annual review conversations
Who Should Attend?
