About the Foot and Ankle Symposium

This CME activity is designed to improve practitioners’ competence to appropriately examine foot and ankle injuries and select the best treatment options. This symposium will help improve practitioners’ knowledge and skills to assess and treat musculoskeletal conditions. It will focus on up-to-date reviews of advances in diagnosis and management strategies for common foot and ankle ailments. This is an excellent opportunity to interact with many of the key opinion leaders in the field of Orthopaedics and Foot & Ankle.

After completing this educational activity, participants will be able to do the following:

  • Describe appropriate imaging, analyses, and procedures for a co mprehensive physical examination;
  • Detail the pathophysiology of tendon injuries in foot and ankle conditions and describe the treatment options;
  • List the commonly encountered fractures of both the foot and an kle and demonstrate immobilization techniques;
  • Describe the pathology of ar thritic conditions that commonly affect the foot and ankle, and discuss treatment options;
  • Summarize the pros and cons of biologic therapies as an option for foot and ankle injuries.
