Slide Kit

In this slide kit, rheumatologists and other allied health professionals will learn about the recent advances in B-cell biology and B-cell–directed therapies used in the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Both current and emerging B-cell–directed therapies will be reviewed for their mechanism of action, safety, and efficacy in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and other autoimmune diseases. Other b-cell–related topics to be covered include: immunocompetence and the impact of b-cell depletion on the integrated immune response, retreatment and long-term safety of b-cell agents, and clinical considerations for immunization of patients receiving b-cell–directed therapy.
