This archived activity is a recording of the live activity that took place on June 25, 2008. The purpose of this activity is to examine the factors associated with cardiovascular morbidity (CV) and mortality in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and recognize the importance of monitoring and treatment with disease modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). |
| Objectives |
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Identify factors associated with increased risk of CV events in patients with RA
- Outline the effects of DMARD exposure on CV morbidity, including myocardial infarction and stroke
- Discuss the importance of analyzing data from RA patients in standard clinical practice

This activity will be directed to physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other health care professionals interested in RA. |
