Description

Emerging Therapies in Heart Disease offers presentations and discussions of patient history and new surgical advancements coupled with a live interactive discussion with program faculty.

This activity covers the following:

• Latest heart failure pharmacotherapies
• Discussion of new device-based therapy
• Innovations in medical management and team-based approach

Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

1. Review the current medical and device-based therapies for heart failure.
2. Discuss the increase in hospitalizations for recurrent heart failure and the need to develop strategies to reduce hospitalization.
3. Recognize controversies about surgical techniques.
4. Discuss applicability of surgical and device-based therapies.
