Description

The Medicine Today, Internal Medicine Webcast Series features on-demand CME webcasts. Each webcast consists of an hour-long video presentation and related questions following the video.

Upon completing the CME activity, the post-test, the evaluation and registration forms, you will have an opportunity to print your CME certificate for your records.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

1. Outline the diagnostic criteria for Major Depression.
2. Discuss ways which a clinician may differentiate unipolar from bipolar disorder.
3. Identify major forms of psychotherapy used in treatment of Major Depression.
4. Review various antidepressants available and the clinical situation in which one may be preferable to another.
5. Discuss options for depression which is refractory to usual antidepressants.
