Target Audience

This satellite symposium is intended for an international audience of physicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers involved with palliative care of patients. In addition, healthcare professionals in the areas of gynecologic oncology, heart failure, and interventional pain management will benefit.

Description

This activity is a recording of lectures presented live on March 16, 2007 during the 11th International Palliative Medicine Symposium.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Review the medical management of complications and symptoms related to bone metastases.
  2. Appraise the non-pharmacologic management of vertebral fractures.
  3. Recognize indications and contraindications to osteoplasty.
