Target Audience

This symposium is intended for an international audience of physicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists and other healthcare provides involved with palliative care of patients.

Description

As presented March 24, 2006 during the 10th International Palliative Medicine Symposium, this activity is designed to introduce new medications to improve subcutaneous medication administration.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Discuss the role of subcutaneous infusions in palliative medicine.
  2. Discuss ways to increase the comfort of subcutaneous infusion.
