Description / Overview The purpose of this activity is to review the management of and discuss the treatment options for a woman with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who wants to conceive or is pregnant.

Objectives At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
  1. Identify the relevant factors for management of pregnancy in a woman with RA.
  2. Review safety data concerning pregnancy and the use of conventional or biologic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) in women with RA.
  3. Discuss treatment options for a woman with RA who wants to conceive or is pregnant.
Target Audience This activity is directed to rheumatologists and primary care physicians who treat patients with RA.
Accreditation The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
