Overview
The Heart-Brain connection and interaction
is a relatively unexplored science that is
gaining interest among researchers from
multiple disciplines. The purpose of the
Summit is to bring this relationship to the
forefront in order to stimulate and advance
research and patient treatments in this
important field of medicine. Health care
professionals will learn of recent discoveries
and insight that relate to new treatments
for cardiovascular and nervous system
disorders. Importantly, cardiovascular and
neurological and psychiatric conditions will
be looked at in a different context.
This year we are pleased to introduce
the Bakken Heart-Brain Institute Young
Investigator Research Award. The competition
is open to graduate students, postdoctoral
fellows, residents, fellows and
junior faculty within 2 years of their first
appointment, and will include a moderated
poster session.
An exciting reception and dinner will be
hosted at the Cleveland Botanical Center
for all attendees and a special speaker will
highlight the evening.
The Summit includes the official launch
of the Society of Heart-Brain Medicine on
Friday evening June 8th. We look forward
to you joining us at this dynamic event.
