4th Annual Cleveland Clinic Physician Advisor Symposium

In joint providership with the American College of Physician Advisors, Cleveland Clinic’s 4th Annual Physician Advisors Symposium will explore the critical role of the physician advisor. Participants will hear the latest developments in healthcare and regulatory updates on government and commercial plans. Faculty will address efficiency and coordination of care, and we’ll conclude with a session of physician advisor hot topics.

By the end of this course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to navigate the complexities of healthcare management, drive quality improvement, and lead their organizations toward better patient outcomes.

After completing this educational activity, participants will be able to do the following:

  • Explore recent changes in healthcare regulations and their implications, including Medicare Advantage, Medicaid coverage and commercial insurance trends
  • Identify strategies to improve cost efficiencies through coordination of care with Utilization Management, Care Management, and Advanced Practice Providers
  • Explore pathways to becoming a physician advisor and identify valuable resources and strategies for effectively overturning payer denials
  • Assess the benefits and limitations of AI-driven decision-making in patient care and identify emerging AI technologies that may shape the future of physician advisory work
  • Evaluate strategies for improving outcomes in post-acute care management
