Join us for Addressing Substance Use Disorder in Healthcare!
There is an urgent need to address the growing burden of addiction in our community. Healthcare professionals and community partners often face challenges in providing effective care due to limited knowledge, resources, and collaboration. By bridging this knowledge gap and fostering interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration, we aim to improve outcomes for individuals struggling with addiction and promote a more compassionate and informed approach to treatment and prevention.
Speaker, Chris Hart, will share his insightful and powerful journey from honors graduate with 25 years’ experience in retail pharmacy, addiction, and recovery, along with 20 years in the world of academia, teaching “Chemical Dependency and the Pharmacist” to healthcare professionals.
Gain a deeper understanding of addiction as he highlights the genetic risks, and the unique challenges faced by those who work in health care. Chris Hart emphasizes the importance of viewing addiction as a disease, not a moral failing.
