Description
The Rheumatology Highlights Report is designed for the busy clinician. It provides highlights from key scientific presentations and/or abstracts presented at the international rheumatology meeting. Clinical experts attending this meeting have selected the most significant data to report. Each activity is a 15-minute presentation. Enhancements include downloadable slide sets and audio files, and supporting abstracts with expert commentaries. This series offer two methods of participation: on your computer or mobile device.
Learning Objectives
- Discuss the most recent research from the 2011 EULAR meeting as it relates to the impact of rheumatoid arthritis on cardiovascular disease risk.
- Review recent advances in the area of cardiovascular risk assessment including subclinical measures of atherosclerosis and their usefulness as predictors for atherosclerosis.
- Critically appraise the data on lipid profiles, adipocytokines, and HDL composition and assess their impact on patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
Target Audience
This activity is directed to rheumatologists, immunologists, rheumatology and immunology fellows, clinical researchers, and rheumatology and immunology allied health professionals, including nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
