3rd Annual Kaplan Foundation Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease Symposium

The 3rd Annual Kaplan Foundation Symposium aims to gather thought leaders from around the globe to present new and emerging concepts related to the care of patients with pediatric IBD. Featuring guest speakers Florian Rieder, MD, Andrew Grossman, MD and Sandra Kim, MD, the symposium will promote the participation of investigators from all stages of their career and inspire young investigators to study and practice pediatric IBD.

By Participating, You Will Be Able To:

  • Determine the current mechanisms of intestinal fibrogenesis.  
  • Review the current diagnosis and management of stricturing Crohn’s disease.  
  • Define basic science technologies utilized in translational research.  
  • Review the "omics" impacting the basic components of IBD - related research.  
  • Review the current evidence for the use of therapeutic drug monitoring for dosing biologics in pediatric inflammatory bowel disease.  
  • Discuss proactive versus reactive drug monitoring and the appropriate clinical roles for each.
