About the Course
Breast Cancer Update: Review of Breast Cancer Symposia will summarize highlights from the national meetings, with a focus on the clinical implications of the new information presented on breast cancer. Medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, residents/ fellows, and other healthcare providers with an interest in the management of patients with breast cancer should attend this course.
By Participating, You Will Be Able To:
- Summarize information relevant to the surgical management of breast cancer.
- Review current information on the hormonal management of breast cancer.
- Discuss novel targets in the therapy of breast cancer and their clinical implications including the role of conventional chemotherapy and of novel combinations involving conventional chemotherapy.
- Identify emerging radiation techniques and the status of these techniques in the care of patients with breast cancer.
- Review current risk prediction methods and prevention strategies.
