Description
Watch the OH-HEP Training Program, a free, easily accessible training program available to providers across the state. It will meet the needs of both primary care providers interested in providing hepatitis C care and current Ohio Medicaid and private payor requirements. OH-HEP is designed to build (educate and empower) a mentorship platform that is accessible to primary care providers caring for high-risk individuals in every part of Ohio, especially in rural, low resource settings.

   Define who should be screened and/or have ongoing screening for HCV infection. 
  
- 
    Discuss diagnosis of acute and  chronic HCV infection.

    Review of pre-treatment  evaluation.

    Define which patient populations  should not be immediately treated for HCV.

    Describe the nuances of treating  HCV in the setting of coinfection (HIV/HBV).

   The OH-HEP training series is targeted to Ohio-based primary care, infectious disease, gastroenterology, hepatology providers, advanced practice providers (nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants), and pharmacists involved in Hepatitis C treatment or wishing to establish a collaborative practice agreement at their own institution.
