Description

Participate in this CME-certified, on demand online education that addresses pulmonary hypertension diagnosis and treatment, including the most recent advances and future directions in the diagnosis and management in the context of challenges faced by physicians and other health care providers caring for these patients.

 

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss the pathophysiology and epidemiology of the chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension.
  • Describe the signs, symptoms, hemodynamic and radiographic features of CTEPH.
  • Identify factors that are taken into account when undergoing operability assessment and short- and long-term outcomes after pulmonary thromboendarterectomy.
  • Review the outcomes current randomized clinical trials for medical management of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension .
  • Discuss the emerging role of balloon angioplasty as a supplement to vasodilator therapy in lieu of surgical resection.

Target Audience

This course is designed for physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, and nurses with an interest in pulmonary hypertension.
