Join us at Cleveland Clinic’s Survey of Current Issues in
Surgical Anesthesia

This symposium is designed to present the most recent information on clinical practice issues facing anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists. A diverse faculty will provide an update on cardiac anesthesia, thoracic and vascular anesthesia, critical care for surgical patients, neuroanesthesia, non-operating room anesthesia, and ambulatory anesthesia.

Learning activities will be presented in several formats, including traditional lectures, workshops, and case discussions. Additional break-out sessions include workshops, practice updates, and problem-based learning discussions presented in didactic or hands-on workshop formats.

  • Describe current anesthetic practice issues for patients undergoing cardiac procedures
  • Describe evaluation and anesthesia management of patients undergoing ambulatory surgical
    procedures
  • Discuss the challenges associated with anesthesia approaches in critical care

  • Identify techniques for cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • List issues that can have an impact on anesthesia management in patients undergoing
    thoracic or vascular procedures

  • Utilize new techniques and technologies for neuroanesthesia management
