The Alcohol and Drug Recovery Center and Cleveland Clinic Community Care are proud to announce this virtual CME event to support physicians, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants who encounter patients with Opiate Use Disorders.  The course is designed to meet the Ohio waiver requirement for eight hours of CME related to addiction every two years.  We will welcome speakers from Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals of Cleveland, MetroHealth Medical Center, as well as Recovery Court, Community Mental Health, Peer Support, and much more!

By Attending, You Will Be Able To:

  • Compare and contrast the types of medication therapy as they relate to the overall treatment of opiate addiction
  • Identify the relevant pharmacology as well as the relevant laws and regulations when planning the treatment of opiate addiction in special circumstances
  • Recognize the social factors that influence addiction and use that recognition to educate patients and fellow caregivers, and design appropriate treatment plans

Target Audience

This activity is directed to waivered physicians, residents/fellows, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.
